I think a better analogy is Pizza : NYC :: Burritos : SF.

Agree, though pizza has some remarkable divisions regarding crust & toppings. Personally for me, two toppings max (three if you’re counting he cheese) and it has to crack when I fold it.

My favorite would be The Pizza Shop on 24th street in the Mission, which has excellent pizza. And by excellent I mean what you’d expect of pizza if you’ve spent any time on the east coast.
