What Have You Done Already?

This story just makes me sad. Not because the author’s ideas about creativity are wrong or poorly presented. It is entirely right about stockpiling thoughts and weaving them together. But the foundational premise — that the reader needs to remember to be curious, to ask questions, and think critically — disillusions me of something I assumed true. You mean, we don’t all wonder about the world?

I just thought everyone daydreamed. 😕
