Sue and Michael

English in Canada

S, “I met him in UK during my layover and I flew back to Canada, we stayed in touch via letters and one day he told me he wanted to move to Canada to meet with me, he did, and he stayed.”

M, “We are both retired now, so we travel a lot, sometimes we will fly to UK to where we met and live in the house my parents left for us.”

M , “My role was to lay off people, I’d go into companies and talk to their employee about the tough decisions that had to made, and I would sit there and watch them cry, getting angry, and break a few things. So my job is to listen, because that’s one thing that people want the most at that very moment, to have someone willing to listen and to empathize.”

S, “Please keep doing what you are doing young man, we hope to run into you again.”
