Oruk Anam State Constituency 2019: Meet Mr Samuel Udoh
****

Samuel Udoh is a Twenty Five years old native of Nung Oku Ubo 2, Ward 3 of Oruk Anam Local Government Area.

Born into a Christian home, Samuel grew up being passionate about positive changes and believing in taking up societal responsibilities to foster development. Young Samuel had his primary Education at Gospel Nursery School, Ikot Ibritam and IVI school, Ukanafun. He proceeded to Obong Christian High School, Etim Ekpo for Secondary Education. He also attended St Mary's Science College, Abak and the CJC secondary school, Abak.

To further his Education, Samuel Udoh attended the University of Uyo and later the Maritime Academy of Nigeria, Oron.

Presently he works as a Merchant Navy Sailor and a project developer for a New Age Tech company in FCT, Abuja. And Like many other Nigerian Youth who embark on decent hustles, he has been a blogger, a Web designer, Content developer and owns a Farm which he believe will grow to feed many. Samuel Udoh is known to be widely read and objective.

His interest and involvement in politics precedes his days in the University, where he featured effectively and supported the growth of the Federated Oruk Anam State and that of his Departmental Association.

His first foray into the Macro politics was in 2010 when he worked as a Social Media aide to Senate Seat aspirant from Uyo Senatorial District.
In 2013 he's media platform published the first Campaign magazine 'de Right' magazine for the Governorship aspiration of His Excellency, Deacon Udom Emmanuel. In 2013 as the Students Coordinator, Abak5 Integrity Movement, he carried out the first campus tour for the Governorship aspiration of the governor and Senator Godswill Akpabio, meeting and mobilizing Students leaders and stakeholders.

To ensure the victory of the PDP in the 2015 General Elections, he mobilized youths across the 13 wards of Oruk Anam as the chapter coordinator, Coalition of Youth Leaders in Akwa Ibom State, CYL.

With the Not too Young to Run setting the pace for more involvement of Youths in politics, Samuel believes passionately in bringing to bare the future of Akwa Ibom which is long overdue, through Legislative responsiveness and with proper partnership between the Public and the Private sector.

In his words "One thing we must come to believe is that the development of our society is proportional to the level and quality of education our young population have access to. Our desire for pilots, sailors, captains of industries, and top profiled business men and women, must be backed up with the right level of Education.

Until our graduates are exposed to the world of certifications and intern programs, we'll keep having fewer number of our youths gainfully employed."

A little peep into his manifesto shows his plans to build legislative framework to introduce a private sector backed Students loans to support the scholastic efforts of Akwa Ibom students.

Samuel Udoh promises to work towards creating an enabling environment for Tech and Agric startups to thrive. This will go with planned hubs and Incubation centres.

Top on his priority list is plans to pressure government for more presence in Oruk Anam, for possible partnership funding like the RAMP to gap developmental deficit especially Roads and Electricity.

As a sailor, Samuel Udoh is working out plans to ensure that indigenes of Oruk Anam and Akwa Ibom build enough capacity to function appropriately and be front liners in businesses related to the proposed Ibaka Deep Seaport, which upon completion will create jobs and stimulate an exponential economic growth.

With Samuel Udoh, Oruk Anam shall experience an Agricultural revolution. There'll be stricter laws against Child labour and abuse. A better pension scheme for our elderly and a STRONGER INTELLECTUAL INFRASTRUCTURE for our societal growth. All these are possible because Samuel not only has ideas, he has practical experiences of public private collaborations in working economies.

'HNoble' as he's fondly called believes in the zoning and rotation of Elective offices to foster unity and strengthen the political symmetry of the society. Samuel Udoh believes that after 8 years of someone from Anam in the State House of Assembly, the seat should be zoned to Oruk and precisely, Ward 3 that has never had an elective officer as a chairman or State House member.

Many things take courage to do, and when posterity look back at those who recreated the future, our votes shall be remembered.
