Elevate Elevator Pitch Main Stage 2017

Calling All Civic Innovators!

We are very excited to announce that we are taking part in Elevate 2018 and will be hosting the Elevate Social Impact track on Wednesday, September 26 at the newly renovated North York Central Library.

We’re in search of speakers for Elevate Social Impact who have a bold project or story to tell about how we can make cities more inclusive places to live, work and play.

Are you our dream speaker? Keep reading to find out.

What is Elevate?

Elevate is a technology and innovation festival that takes place in Toronto from September 21–27, 2018.

You may remember our team officially launching at Elevate Toronto 2017! We were humbled by the amazing people we’ve met with, and spoke to, over the past year, and we want to pass it forward by elevating others this year.

The 2018 lineup of speakers will bring together global leaders in tech and innovation, investors, government officials and media to showcase the best of Canadian innovation.

Day two of the festival is called Elevate Educate and will feature 11+ tracks produced by people who are passionate about their area of expertise. We were impressed by the list of topics in Elevate’s early planning stages, and knew immediately that we could add some great content in the world of civic innovation that aren’t typically in lights, but should be. That’s where the idea of Elevate Social Impact was born…

What is Elevate Social Impact?

Elevate Social Impact will be an exciting and inspiring full-day of carefully curated programming designed to inform and inspire our audience. Throughout the day, we’ll showcase the people, projects and stories that demonstrate how we can continue to build a more inclusive city together. We’ll question the status quo and identify ways we can modernize public life.

Who is presenting at Elevate Social Impact?

It could be you!

If equality, accessibility and civic innovation are a passion for you, we want to hear your story and learn about what you’re doing to make a difference.

We invite you to submit your presentation idea by midnight on Friday, August 31.

Presentations will be selected by the Elevate Social Impact Planning Committee made up of Paula Kwan, Kristal Groom, Pam Ryan and Hannah Stewart.

Speakers will be able to attend the full Elevate Social Impact track, enjoy some breakfast and lunch on us, and attend the Elevate King West social in the evening.

We’d love to hear from you

If you’re interested in sponsoring, partnering or volunteering at the track, please let us know by emailing civicinnovation@toronto.ca.

We are working hard on creating an accessible, equitable and inclusive experience for our guests at Elevate Social Impact, so stay tuned for more information about the track in the coming days and weeks leading up to Elevate.
