At the Civic Innovation Office at the City of Toronto, we believe in the power of cities - and city government - to dramatically improve people’s lives. You believe that good design can change the world, or at least the city. You are excited by the opportunity to apply a human-centered design lens to supporting the evolving culture of innovation in the public sector.
You are a cross-disciplinary creative doer, who works collaboratively and believes that good design is based in research and discovery. You explain the ‘why’ behind design to non-designers and make the service design case for improving the ways people interact with their city. You are passionate about using modern human-centered design practices and methodologies to deliver intuitive and easy-to-use experiences that meet the needs of end-users and solve business problems.
Above all, you believe in local government’s ability to affect positive change and you care deeply about Toronto and its residents.
