The previous occupants of this home

The Anderson House was built in 1853 by Colonel Oliver Anderson who was a native of Lexington, Kentucky. You could say he was a famous resident of the home.

Anderson was born in 1794, in Nicholasville, Kentucky. During the 1830s, he co-founded Anderson and Jackson, a successful hemp and cotton manufactory. In 1819, he married Mary Campbell and they had 10 children.
