It’s better to have sizes in form fields that people can tap into and use, then to worry about whether they like the look of them.

Very few people pay any attention to forms for aesthetic reasons (only a few forms and design geeks).

Most people don’t care too much about what they look like, they care about whether they can fill them out easily and get on with the rest of whatever they are trying to do.
