Well done Brandon. If you want to make it earlier be gentle with yourself, always remembering that you have a family. Thanks for the inspiration and do not be discouraged by those who say you wake up only at 6 am. I know of few of my peers who wake up that early.
I am celibate and will join the priesthood soon. I wake up at 4 am, say my prayers, practice martial arts (have black belts in several disciplines but will have to stop now for the priesthood) outside (even in the cold winters); have a cold shower afterwards — really gives a boost in energy. Then meditate. Then go about my work. Go to bed at between 9 and 10 pm. I know it is not easy but celibacy has given me tons of energy. And meditation. And of course, prayer. All the very best in all you do.
