Out of the dream age
Over the last week this thought, the title, has come to me more than once. There’s something happening in the way we talk about stuff and the way we go about doing things. There’s some sort of shift from what I been thinking of as a dream age; a period of romantic, shimmering and lots of moon gazing. Up until recently it felt like it was acceptable to be dreamy, fluffy and a bit absent minded but suddenly all that shifted, already some years ago but more strongly now, and these days there’s a seriousness storming in. It’s action days these days. Maybe the shift already happened around 2011 but it’s finally now that the last nail has been hammered in to the coffin of the dream age. Shame, I really enjoyed it, although I’m also enjoying this action oriented time we seem to be in now.
