Yoga


Today’s post is going to be a short as I’m on my way to yoga in a few minutes. I’ve been doing, or maybe practicing, yoga for about 9-10 years on and off, more on than off for about the past 4-5 years and pretty regularly for the past 2-3 years. I try and make it to an organized class once a week or twice a week on very rare occasions. It’s about a 2.5 hour time commitment when you factor in getting to and from a 75 minute class. To me it’s time very well spent.

In addition to the class, I have a short 15 minute series I can do on my own at home, as well as a 20 minutes series my yoga instructor put together for me that’s specific to cycling. I try and do one or both of those once a week too. I guess the fact that I’m about to bundle up and bike to class on potentially icy streets in a wind chill temperature of 16 degrees is a testament to how important I feel practicing yoga is in my life right now!
