The Progressive Party’s main goal is to keep moving forwards. Our candidate Maeve Nicoll plans to unite our community and work together to keep society on track.
With Nicoll’s leadership, she plans to regulate gun trade and sale in order to cut down the country’s suicide and homicide rates.
In 2013, 138.3 million taxpayers reported earning $9.03 trillion in adjusted gross income and paid $1.23 trillion in income taxes.
Despite the decrease in overall income reported, taxes paid increased by $46 billion to $1.232 trillion in 2013. Taxes paid increased for all income groups.
The Progressive party candidate plans to reduce taxes for the middle class, hopefully creating a middle-out economy. After years of economic struggle in our trickle down economy and multiple unemployment panics, it is clear that this country needs a change.
If we raised the minimum wage to $10.10, it would reduce the number of people living in poverty by 4.6 million.
If we raise the minimum wage, millions could be able to support their families, and those same people could finally have an opportunity to be taken off welfare. Cleaner and safer conditions can finally be brought to these people, moving America another step forwards.
What we want to achieve
The Progressive Party strives for a society in which equality is valued. We want equal pay for women and men, equal marriage laws, and so much more. We push for a woman’s right to choose, and for a society that can stand behind that woman. In a world today that is only moving forwards, why go backwards?
