My solution — I keep my personal computer in the bathroom! I don’t use my phone for surfing — whether that be social media or the general web. Therefore, I spend about 15 minutes — twice per day, perusing this useless stuff and misleading media content — that’s 30 minutes a day — probably more time than the biased garbage is worth. My facebook and twitter notifications are relegated only to my “clutter” folder — which I only check every few days and then, most of the time figure the stuff is too out dated to bother clicking on. In the end, there is no unbiased media in the USA. I can listen to (ie. radio), watch (ie TV) or read (ie. net or paper) for 15 minutes and/or a few articles (not knowing the actual source) and can tell you that media outlet’s bias. As Pew media studies have repeatedly shown, there is not one single major US media outlet that falls in the top 3 for accuracy, honesty, unbiased and factual reporting — and that just measures major media outlets readily available in the US market. All three top, most reliable, most accurate, most truthful and least biased major media outlets available to Americans are from outside of our country! How sad
