Songs That Make Me Cry

It’s been an emotional morning…

I wasn’t quite sure what I was letting myself in for when, prompted by Kirby Workes, I decided to embark on this selection of songs.

I’ve disappeared down a rabbit hole several times today — found myself moved to tears with aching memories of my teenage years when music was my therapy, then all the good times and bad times of the past couple of decades, again fuelled by the soundtrack of my life at the time.

I realised there were so many songs that made me cry, I couldn’t type this piece through the blurriness of my tears. You think I’m overexaggerating. Nope. I’m a crier! I’ve tried holding in the tears, building up my walls, stifling the sobs, but it’s no good — emotion simply spills from my eyes.

So, I’ve decided to select the songs that have reduced me to tears over the recent months.
