Words of wisdom from Developer Camp
Google Launchpad, San Francisco, November 2016
I had the privilege of being a counsellor at Developer Camp this weekend. Always a great ideas contest, Developer Camp prides itself on its diverse community. Here’s a few words I heard over the two-and-a-half days, good advice for anyone considering joining:
It’s not about the gadgets…
Helping is the most important thing
‘Focus on what you can bring to the table for who your audience is.’
‘Bring the passion into your work'
‘If you can’t find anybody to do what you want, just do it.’
Key speaker & Founder of OneMama Siobhan Neilland
First-time hackathon attendee Juleus Chapman:
‘I see why coders do what they do.’
‘Keep trying random things. Fail on purpose.’
‘A lot of good things came out of this weekend'
