I have a confession to make….

I am sure that I am not alone in the confession that I am about to make.

At the ripe old age of 37 — I am addicted to my mobile phone, and social media

First thing in the morning, last thing at before sleep, if I wake in the night, whilst cooking dinner, while I am working I will grab my phone or switch to social media, waiting for the shower to warm up, while watching a film, in the bath, and yep — on the toilet!

I find myself endlessly scrolling through social media.

Why!?

Checking notifications, watching stories on Instagram of Watching Mrs Hinch clean her bath or random people holidaying, getting involved with people arguing about dog food on Facebook, seeing intelligent business folk arguing on LinkedIn that content is not business-related, people getting angry at each other on Twitter.

Then I end up on Youtube watching videos of cats falling off chairs 6 years ago or clips of Friends

Then I have millions of fitness apps that I downloaded at the beginning of lockdown — 30 days to the perfect bum, beginners yoga, C25K, my journal, Bumble BFFS, MeetUp, several email accounts, scheduler apps, banking apps, too many shopping apps to count, Kindle, Audible various habit trackers, diet apps, and of course, I have the game addiction too (Family Island and Fishdom!)

I even have Netflix and Now and Prime on my phone — I mean seriously! WHY!?
