Krill Oil

It’s been said a million times, fish oil is great for you because it has Omega 3 fatty acids. By now everyone who has ever been on a health information website knows this. What many people don’t know is that most of the fish oil supplements they consume simply passes through the system. While this is the problem with any kind of supplementation, this is especially true of fish oil supplements. There is a lot of research to back up the claim that absorption in the digestive system is far better for natural food sources than for supplements. Nonetheless, for those who don’t eat fish, supplementation is necessary and the best seafood based supplement is Krill.

  • Krill oil is said to be 48% more effective than regular fish oil. This has to do mostly with the higher concentration of the Omega 3 fatty acids in krill oil
  • Krill oil reduces the level of triglycerides and what is called bad cholesterol, this is one of the best ways to help clean up your cardiovascular system
  • Krill oil has nutrients that nourish the brain and improve memory and attention. Add to this the mood improvement that krill oil brings and you have a great tonic for physiological roadblocks to your mind working at its best
  • Krill oil is also great against inflammations, it helps fight against new inflammations and reduce pre-existing ones, so if you have a chronic joint issue like arthritis or are a sportsman who taxes the joints a lot, get a hold of some krill oil

The krill is harvested from baleen whales, and their millions of years of evolutionary success must count in favour too!
