【英文謬誤】－5 句提高團隊工作效率的英文

Ann剛升上公司的產品經理，工作的壓力與責任也跟著水漲船高，因為她得要帶領來自不同年齡層、文化背景的多元團隊完成專案，她可以說什麼激勵大家？遇到問題，她可以說什麼來尋求幫助或是安撫大家不安的心呢？

1. get the ball rolling
roll當動詞就是卷起來、滾動的意思，要讓球滾起來，就代表要動起來了。
所以這句也可以代表Let’s start now. Let’s go的意思。
E.g. Let’s get the ball rolling. 我們開始吧

2. do me a favor
favor有很多意思，包括贊同、偏愛…，這裡do me a favor是一個非常實用的片語，意思是幫我一個忙，和give me a hand是同樣的意思，如果要再更客氣一點，還可以說Could you please do me a little favor?
E.g. Would you do me a favor? 你可以幫我一個忙嗎？

3. like the back of my hand
如同我的手背一樣，就是瞭若指掌的意思。另一個with one hand tied behind one’s back （把一隻手綁在我背後）雖然看起來蠻臭屁的，但更表達出易如反掌的感覺。
E.g. Rob knows the machine like the back of his hand. Rob 對這個機器熟悉得不得了。
E.g. Rob can do the job with one hand tied behind his back. Rob能很輕鬆地做這份工作。（這工作對他來說簡直易如反掌）

4. sleep on it
這個片語跟睡覺不太有直接關係，但意思是考慮考慮。
E.g. I’ll get back to you tomorrow, I have to sleep on it. (=I’m gonna take some time to think about my decision.)
我明天再跟你說，我得考慮一下。

5. take charge
take charge (of sth.)的意思是負責，團隊工作需要有一個人來整合與管理，通常這個人也是要全權負責的。如果要問這裡誰負責的，可以直接說Who’s in charge here?
E.g. When the new manager took charge of this project, things really began to happen. 當新的經理負責這個專案的時候，事情才開始有所進展。
