UX Coursera experience building an APP

I started the Coursera Interaction Design certificate a year ago, and for the capstone project I decided to choose something related to health.

I observed that many information related to health advice that “we are what we eat” so following this principle I notice that this point due with our life style, was not well attended.

So I wonder Why is that? And I end up discovering that time is the fact is that we don’t have time. We keep on rushing from home to work and in reverse. We arrive late home, sometimes without time for going to the grocery or shopping. And that is ever worst if we have children as we care even more for children health than for ourselves.

I keep on thinking of how to solve this problem and…eureka! Why not making an App that helps people and gives recipes even if they couldn’t go to the supermarket that day?

We all have somethings at the fridge; a few carrots, some milk, some rest of chicken, eggs…and even cans! But we don’t know what to do with such “scattered” ingredients. We do not know how to cook or prepare a dish with such items.

But I said to myself, there is surely recipes for that!, as there are recipes for everything. There are millions of recipes in Internet, so why not let people tell what they have, and with those elements find a meal and gives them the steps for cooking a healthy and fresh meal in short time?.

All along the evolution of the prototype more ideas, questions and solutions emerged, and that is how in short words Bchef was born, and the first prototype (after a few previous steps) arises.

But please, be kind, it’s only a baby prototype under invisionapp help, and still needs to grow in code and size. Enjoy it!
