SHAMELESS PROMOTION: i’ve started working on a podcast!

hey friends! if you’re connected with me on facebook or twitter, then you’ve probably seen by now that i have started working on a podcast called Trent Talk, where Cheya and i talk about Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails. we’re going to be going through his entire career “halo by halo” and we are also going to discuss the side projects he’s done, including work on various soundtracks and How to Destroy Angels.

impeccable photoshop skills by Cheya.

we already have some pretty fun segments that we’ve introduced in the first episode, such as one called Imprezions, where we (well, probably just Cheya) showcase an impression of a celebrity saying the lyrics to a NIN song. this week features Cheya doing an impression of the late Alan Rickman. it’s pretty great! and as the show goes on a little longer, i am going to start a side venture called Piggyback Playlists where i create playlists that contain some of our favorite — or most notable — songs that came out the same year as whatever album we happen to be discussing that week. these playlists will be featured on spotify, and available on the website.

this is exciting because not only do we both love NIN, and talking about music in general, but it’s a fun way for us to showcase our comedic sides.

i would say that you don’t need to necessarily be a NIN fan in order to appreciate this podcast, but it certainly wouldn’t hurt. either way, it’s going to be a fun way to get to know a little more about us, while also learning about one of — what we consider to be — the most influential artists of our time.

the first episode of our podcast can be found on soundcloud, you can like us/get updates from us on facebook, and you can follow us on twitter! website is in the works, and we are currently in the review process with iTunes, so hopefully our podcast will we available there within the next day or two. how exciting! (EDIT: we have a website *HERE* and we are now on iTunes so go subscribe!)

finally: if you like this type of podcast, i urge you to check out the podcasts U Talkin’ U2 to Me? and Worst Idea of All Time. you do not need to be a fan of anything these comedians talk about in order to love the premise and vibe of the show, so definitely give them a listen in your spare time!
