pretty much for the sole reason that he’s a white nationalist demagogue
How to Easily be a White Ally to Marginalized Communities
Christopher Keelty

Ugh. No! That was probably the reason for some people, but soooo many others voted for Obama in 2008 & 2012, then Trump in 2016. We (lefties) have to stop pretending everyone who voted for Trump is a racist, otherwise the US will end up re-electing him in 2020. We’re missing a huge opportunity to actually listen to the people who elected him (including ~30% of Latino voters) not *because* he’s a white nationalist demagogue, but *despite* it. What made them overlook it? What made them shrug off his remarks about women, Mexicans, Muslims, “blacks”, the disabled, etc..? Those are the questions we need to be asking and the starting point from which we need to have this conversation. Please see this fabulously penned piece by someone from Trump country:

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
