The screen has become one of the most important places in the world. Creating and refining this new medium is both an art and science of profound complexity and sheer delight.

The tools needed to forge the next generation of screen-based experiences will bear little resemblance to those that powered the era of print and graphic design. The dynamic nature of web and mobile product design demands a fundamentally new canvas and radically new approach to collaboration.

Creating the product design workflow of the future — one that’s simple, seamless, and beautiful — is what drives me and the entire InVision team every single day. We believe strongly in the power of design not just as a discipline, but as a core language of any modern business.

Finding innovative new ways to further refine the product design workflow is our passion. To that end, I’m thrilled to announce the team behind Silver Flows is joining InVision.

Silver Flows allows designers to build prototypes directly in Sketch, a first for the design industry. Their dedication to improving the workflow for designers fits perfectly with our mission to make prototyping and product design more contextual, intuitive and rapid than ever. Together we’re shortening the time to market for product designers and creating better, design-driven user experiences for people around the world.

Silver Flows is a Sketch-exclusive tool. Since coming out in 2012, Sketch has taken the design world by storm, and we believe strongly in its power and viability. Already beloved by millions of designers worldwide, it’s fast become the standard in modern screen design. Since introducing Craft in February 2016 to empower designers to create using real data, in real time, we’ve seen significant adoption among the design community, with 86% on Sketch and 14% on Photoshop. Today Silver Flows is in private beta, but will be rolled into the release of Craft 2.0, due out very shortly.

We’re dedicated to making the design experience in Sketch an even better one, and our acquisition of Silver Flows only strengthens that effort.

I can’t wait to see what you create!
