Why avocado should be your best friends
I have been struggling with any kind of tolerances since years..lactose, fructose, gluten, even olive oil..I reached the point to not be able to eat without feeling sick and with a pregnant belly. Medical appointments and exams could not help.
But the worst was the continuous need to eat. You have a good breakfast in the morning, but after one hour you are already ready to have another one. Of course I had more weight than what I should have had and I felt tired and frustrated.
You can keep doing like this forever and our lifestyle, busy and multitasking, doesn’t let us assess what is the best plan to address the issue. Most of the times subscription to gym is the immediate reaction, but as my trainer said: 20% is the physical activity, 20% the mental balance, but 60% comes from eating habits.
Till one day my sister said “my friend has started with the keto diet and he feels so much energetic!”. This statement rang a bell and I bought a book about the Keto principles to have an healthier life. The book didn’t focus on losing weight but on the medical benefits of eating less carbs and giving a different kind of food to the brain instead of sugar. I’ve started immediately.
As Italian, limiting pasta and pizza has not been easy. Pretty tough actually, but possible. All my habits have changed and this is when I figured out that avocado and nuts are the best friends to play with during the day.
After 20 days already, you feel like eating only three times at day and the need to continuously eat is gone. The brain reactivates and can think better. Your energy level is so high that you have power to do even more sport activities than before. And the mood is much more positive. Losing weight is a natural consequence and the body looks immediately slimmer.

Do I give myself a sweety from time to time? Of course yes, especially if I want to reward myself for something good I have done.
It can be a keto or any other methods, what is important is to have awareness of what you are eating and how you feel after. If you realize it’s not good, look for a better option.
