I really enjoyed reading your post. I think it is very interesting that you pointed out that most discipline problems are rooted from somewhere outside the classroom. I think this is something that every teacher should be aware of because if we take the time to know our students on a more personal level we can help prevent discipline issues that may arise and disturb the learning environment in the classroom. Also, I like the key practice that you mentioned to have social contracts because I think this is a way for everyone to feel responsible for their own classroom learning environment and hopefully it will create rules that students value. Additionally, I really like that you mentioned scaffolding because it is definitely a needed element in order to create a fair learning environment for everyone because through scaffolding activities teachers can differentiate instruction for students and give them the adequate supports they need.
