Human intelligence and the abundance of work

“All that is needed is the willingness to keep learning.” That I believe is the operative sentence in your piece. There’s more than enough information out there that documents our work status quo doesn’t work. Much of our societal functions, mainly work and education (except where you’re at in Finland), haven’t moved from the industrial model that enslaved us at the turn of the century — not the last one, but the one before that.

Most believe learning ends with finishing school; and the only way to begin learning again is to go back to school. Learning must be a daily routine. Society changes daily. How can we expect to keep pace if we don’t prepare ourselves to do the same?

Work should be problem solving; and if it is then we have little to worry about with machine replacing us … at least anytime soon.
