Take a look into the kitchen

A great chef has a story to tell. She builds a menu and an experience that delivers that story it to each person walking in the door.

A great chef organizes a team that can deliver every day, day in and day out. He makes sure that each person in the kitchen has a role. That they know what to do, when to do it, and how what they make is important and needed. And every night, they’re working in their zone, delivering.

A great chef knows how to edit. That you can’t make everything. Because making everything ok means making nothing great. And if you’re making nothing great, there’s a place down the street that will.

A great chef knows that what they do isn’t for everyone. And that’s ok, because everyone doesn’t like the same thing. Doesn’t want the same experience. Doesn’t want to spend the same amount.

Taking a look into the kitchen can set your work into perspective. The product or company you’re building needs the same considerations. You can tell when a company does this well, because people come back wanting more.
