Clear Drains Setting the Standard for Environmental Management

Being accredited by ISO14001 is something that we are very proud of at Clear Drains. We know that reducing environmental impact is very key to many of our clients, and it is important to us too. Since we were originally accredited by ISO14001 (The industry standard for environmental management), Clear Drains have been working hard at assessing and monitoring all areas of the business in order to make improvements, become more efficient and reduce our carbon footprint wherever possible.

Clear Drains have annual targets that address main areas of the business. These targets are set in conjunction with an external environmental consultant and internal champions are allocated. Progress that the business makes towards these targets is regularly reviewed by senior management;

The business main objectives are:

Reduce the use of and reliance on petrol/diesel by using alternative renewable fuels

Aim for waste reduction, zero waste to landfill for directly produced waste

Reduce CO2 emissions. Aim to be Carbon neutral in London by 2020 and then nationwide

Raise the profile of corporate social responsibility

Raise awareness of FM School and roll out in-house training

Reduce water consumption
