I think one another possible reason explaining that there are less bootstrapped SaaS with really high revenue is that once you bootstrap your company to a couple of millions or several hundreds of thousands of $ of MRR it becomes easier to raise at interesting conditions. At that point the VCs are competing to invest in your company and not the other way around. So you end up raising because it’s actually financially interesting. But again no number to back that up, only an interpretation.
