Paloma and The Sky

Paloma wanted to fly
To go to the clouds
And lie
To see how were people
From high
Today looking up
I remember
Paloma could reach
The Sky

The baby Paloma
Had so sweet blue eyes
Always overflowing
But nobody knew why
That cute creature
Just wanted to cry
Then once the windows
Showed birds at the sky
And that sad infant
Stared with the eyes that got dry

Paloma wanted to fly
To go to the clouds
And lie
To see how were people
From high
Today looking up
I remember
Paloma could reach
The Sky

The child Paloma
Never wanted to try
To play with her dolls or have friends
She asked to buy
Just papers and papers
For airplanes and kites
Throwing and watching
Were her only delights
The most her mom could do was
Getting close to spy

Paloma wanted to fly
To go to the clouds
And lie
To see how were people
From high
Today looking up
I remember
Paloma could reach
The Sky

Young lady Paloma
Both pretty and shy
Never had any boyfriend
I assure there’s no lie
She was such a great challenge
To all of the guys
They tried to get her attention
With their cars and ties
But none of them could
Lift her up to the sky

Paloma wanted to fly
To go to the clouds
And lie
To see how were people
From high
Today looking up
I remember
Paloma could reach
The Sky

And then there came the day
It was her eighteenth birthday
She said she would fly far away
“I will reach the sky today!”

She left away
All the world behind
No one could say
Where could anyone find

So her mom had an insight
And trying to be still
Ran and had a terrible sight
Her child on the edge of the hill

But before any shout
She preferred to die
Rather than seeing that there out
Her baby said goodbye

Mom was held by the crowd
Like in hell she would fry
Through her tears called loud
That sweet butterfly

Paloma is an angel
Living glad at the sky…

Paloma wanted to fly
To go to the clouds
And lie
To see how were people
From high
Today looking up
I remember
Paloma could reach
The Sky
