This morning I was thinking about what it is to be a creator. I was thinking about how much time we spend being influenced by others instead of going out, find our style in photography, and creating for ourselves. Creating for the sake of likes and comments isn’t going to quench your thirst. Too many photographers are finding that they are dissatisfied by their work because they are not pushing themselves.
Being a creative is about so much more than little hearts lighting up your phone. You have to put yourself in a situation that allows you to push your limits both emotionally and creatively. I have a photography challenge for you. For the next week think about a project that would truly satisfy your creative needs and goals. Then shoot it. Even if it is just one photo. Push yourself.
