How to fix this problem?

  1. In the email, click the blue button that says: Troubleshoot index coverage using Search Console. This will take you to the index coverage report.
  2. Now, you want to check if the problem persists because these messages are sent late. This is why we recommend setting up SEO alerts that are triggered immediately as these issues arise.
  3. If the problem persists, dig in and find out what’s causing it using our detailed guide in the Index Coverage report. Describes all the problems listed in the report, including how to fix them.

In our case, for example, we had added the noindex meta robots to multiple pages and Google thought that the pages were still listed in the XML sitemap. That was not the case, Google sent a false positive.
