I agree completely — thriving culture = thriving company. Three key lessons learned that I discuss in my new book Explosive Growth are:
- Have your most talented people working on the biggest opportunities instead of the biggest problems.
- Figure out what motivates every employee, and understand that their motivations may be different than yours. Are you asking each interviewee and employee what would make them more excited about coming to work every day and does that match your core values?
- In-office massages are cheap, and put everybody in a relaxed and happy mood. Have a masseuse come in every 2 weeks and give each employee 15-minute massages.
