Thank you for the cogent comments. Universal Birthright is a new world view that claims a share of the Natural Resources of the land by the sole virtue of birth. How would it work? Today we have two economic systems, Capitalism, where the oil revenue goes to corporations and Socialism/Communism where the oil revenue goes to the government. The Third way, Universal Birthright has the oil revenue distributed directly to the people. In all three cases the folks that work in the oil fields get paid for their labor, with UB they would also claim a share of the oil revenue, net/net. This already happens to some extent, in Alaska and various countries but UB will change how the entire Energy Industry develops.
On the development side we already know where the easy oil is and the technological advances are all coming from the the Universities and Colleges. We will have a joint and collective stewardship the safely preserve and protect what we have Inherited and intend to pass on. We can do none of this when the oil is the prize of war or the behind the scenes corporate corruption facilitated by local politicians. We will know where ever drop is with Block Chair and will bring the Light to Energy.
Ok, so your spiritual point was ‘If everybody gets free stuff, why work?’ and ‘Who would do the hard, difficult stuff if they can not make more than the average bear doing easy stuff?’ You used the example of Doctors in Denmark who make 100,000, not enough to attract new, young doctors.’
The answer is Human Nature and the desire to move forward.
The entire medical industry is in the throes of systemic change as is the education system.
