Daylight Savings

Today was the dreaded spring-forward-lose-an-hour-oh-g0d-need-more-time clock change.

For all intents and purposes, daylight savings is ridiculous and unnecessary. John Oliver did a fantastic bit explaining why this is true. It’s an archaic concept that now causes people to get into accidents and screw up their circadian rhythms.

There is one upside: it means we’re closer to summer, when the days are long, the friends are plenty, spirits are high, and life is good. Now, it’ll get dark later and later and the days will feel longer. The sunlight will make us happier.

Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to take a nap because I lost an hour of sleep.
