The first car I drove was a 1998 Volvo S70 GLT. In the parking lot of the Dell campus in Round Rock, my dad let me get behind the wheel for my 12th birthday. Fast forward a few years, and the S70 got me through high school. Sure, it had its problems: it left me stranded on the side of a highway, it left me stranded in a parking lot, things were constantly falling off. But I loved that car like an old friend, and leaving it when I went to college was tough.
