On Longevity and Laughter

Loved your piece Mr Lear …..and the many shows you produced.
I have fond memories of my parents who had newly migrated to Australia in 1972 sitting with my extended family in the house we all shared and laughing our heads off at the latest “mouthings off” of the great Archie Bunker, the antics of his long suffering Edith and the constantly hassled ‘’Meathead"!
My dad has long passed away and mum is in a nursing home with advanced dementia; my aunts and uncles are old and bent, but I shall never forget the times we sat down as a family — together; some of us sitting on the floor and forgetting all our difficulties for the ½ hour or so.
I hope that laughter paid off and I share some of your longevity!!!
