It is kind of scary when one person claims that the Constitution contained text regarding the “right” of a person to own a slave and another person cheers, “Indeed,” when the Constitution is not only devoid of such text, but also limited the political value of slaves to prevent slave-owning states from amassing political power based on this vile enterprise. In other words, the Constitution was built to usher in the end of the practice of slavery.

I’d rather not see my progeny enslaved by a tyrannical government, but with ignorance like this running amuck in our country, it very well could happen.
