I grew up with this sentiment. My grandmother, a US born Chinese-American who was denied her US citizenship because she chose to travel back to her homeland, professed and preached this exact thought. Her experiences, as a citizen-turned-immigrant and as a professional woman before it was okay for women to be professionals, shaped all of us who grew up with her as our matriarch. Hillary exemplifies the values instilled in me from the earliest age, and I’m proud to be supporting her to become our first woman president. Thanks for putting into words what can sometimes be difficult for me to articulate! You’ve eloquently described a wonderful candidate in a hip and relatable way. You’re awesome!
