Cloud Castles 2024 Community Update
Greetings Wizards! It’s been a while since our last post, and we hope this missive finds you all in good spirits!
At the heart of a good multiplayer game lies a vibrant community, and your unwavering support during our journey so far means the world to us. In light of this, we want to extend our humble apology for the lack of updates in the last few months, as we’ve been hunkered down solidifying our foundations.
The positive news is that we’re getting very close to reaching major internal milestones, necessary to leap into our next stage leading towards launch. While we can’t share any details on roadmap or timelines just yet (neither on game early access or asset launches), we wanted to take the time for a broad strokes overview of what’s been going on and what to expect going forward on a fundamental level.
So without further ado, here is the update!
Game Development Progress
While the curtain has been closed, behind it the team continues to make progress on Cloud Castles and the game has evolved in ways that exceed our initial vision. While it required taking a few steps back before taking new ones forward, we’re now in a much better place with the core gameplay, and closer to delivering an experience that not only meets but exceeds expectations.
The next milestone is getting the game into early access, and the first in line to play will be you guys. We can’t wait to hear your feedback!
Redefining the Core
Since late last summer, we’ve reimagined how we operate as a game studio. Key focus areas have been streamlining our processes, enhancing efficiency, and staying cohesive but flexible, allowing us to adapt to the uncharted and ever-evolving Web 3 gaming landscape. We’re happy to share that our leaner, more nimble team runs more efficiently but without any sacrifice on creativity, innovation, or production quality.
Expanded Vision
A combination of self-discovery on our journey together and paying close attention to the Web 3 landscape, has led to an expanded vision for our future ecosystem with a keen eye on delivering an immersive gaming experience, a sustainable ownership and economy implementation, and a true community-first approach.
Community-First Approach
Fueled by your amazing support and following the principles of Web 3, we’re committed to doubling down on our community efforts this year. We keep exploring new meaningful ways to keep you engaged, including upcoming systems to ensure that your voices help shape the future of Cloud Castles while being rewarded for doing so.
We’re also looking at a new system (in addition to whitelist) to reward your participation. We can’t reveal any details yet but if it all comes together as we want, it should be a pleasant surprise!
Upcoming Announcements
As we gear up for the next phase of our journey, expect more updates going forward. From gameplay sneak peeks to behind-the-scenes insights and ecosystem updates, we’re eager to share the magic that’s happening in Elisus and start peeking into our future together!
Lastly, we want to emphasize our view on community as a co-creative force, and we think of our relationship with you as symbiotic and not a one-way street. We will do our utmost to not only keep you engaged but also make sure you’re valued as a partner and integral building block for our future growth!
