Unified Communications providers have made businesses internal and external communication much easier for enterprises. But it is important for companies to know more about Unified Communications before taking it. So, Unified Communication and Collaboration (UCaaS) is a combination of multiple tools to improve business communications. It helps enterprises and customers to make calls, instant messaging, emails/voice email, audio/video conferencing to smoothen the workflow.

How it Works: Let’s understand how unified communication work at the front-end; The front-end has multiple functions that allow enterprises to manage UCaaS based tool. And, at the back-end which is also known as the server-side. It gives support while accessing the tools. UC has centralized business communication and made collaboration easier. In below section I have mentioned a few features of unified communications:

  • Mobility
  • Audio/Video Conference
  • Instant Messaging
  • Faxing
  • Voice Broadcasting
  • Email/VoiceMail
  • Call Data Analytic Report

The reason behind adopting unified communications services is to enhance the employee's and business's productivity for the long-term. It allows users to communicate in an efficient and effective way with other users by using different portable devices such as smartphones, laptops, tablets and other modes of communications from anywhere at any time.

So by having unified communication in the business, it will reduce the overall cost, save time and simplify the work of the employee. In India, there are many unified communication providers are available but as a blogger, my vote goes to “CloudConnect” because they are affordable for SMEs and Startups and provide quality service.
