A Poem

She stood at the edge of a continent;
and wept until she thought she would die;
“Oh how will I ever survive”
But she did.
survive.
Stars wander
so naked goes the sky
blue matter is a butterfly.

A young boy of ten
with his last ounce of strength
struggles to mouth the words
to a song “How to Save a Life.”
Tears from the nurse’s eyes;
she wonders about forgiveness.
A thousand memories
boxed up and carted across the universe.

I once walked through a raging fire
Yes. You’re right. That was someone else’s fight
No one ever truly dies
blue matter is a butterfly.

Burned pages saved by hands in the fire
notes from the underground
leading to somewhere
To my heaven or your hell;
your heaven. maybe there is no hell.
A cosmic dial to an infinite sunrise
No one ever truly dies
blue matter is a butterfly.
