Laughter
… is the best medicine to everything.
Be it a broken heart, an uneventful day, finding out about something you didn't want to believe it to be true or any bad day you've experienced. Well yes, it’s only temporary and you can't entirely run away from your problems but it definitely lifts up your mood. I absolutely love surrounding myself with people with a good sense of humour. There is not a time where I won’t laugh like the biggest idiot when I'm with my *squad*.
“I want to be so happy that people 10 feet away from me can't help but feel the same way!”
Here are some things that I do to try and keep myself in the best of moods:
1. Read 9GAG
There are plenty of funny reads, photos and gifs on 9gag that might just make your day. Most of their meme’s are very relatable to our everyday lives. Reading 9gag every night before I sleep has been a nightly routine for the past few months and I love how there’s always something new to laugh about. Other than having loads of funny stuff, they also have very informative posts and fun facts that are really interesting to read about.
2. Follow lots of cute animal accounts on twitter and instagram

Need I say more?
3. Watch funny vines and youtube videos
4. Eat
Craving cupcakes? Go indulge in some sweet savoury goodness of it! On a diet??? Screw it. Do what makes you happy and eat what you feel like eating, be it macs or a bar of cadbury chocolate. It will make you feel a million times better. Have a cheat day to those gym junkies, nobody can say no to pizza ;)

+++ I just baked nutella cupcakes today because I was craving for it and it turned out so so so good! Might just do a blog post about it next time I’mbaking it for my friends as a welcome back to school treat!
5. Go shopping
Been eyeing for those pair of Flyknit Racers or the gorgeous pair of boyfriend jeans (am actually referring to myself lol☺)? This is definitely a sign for you to go and grab them! You have a valid reason and not being in the best of moods is totally a valid reason to shop! I for one love to splurge on drugstore beauty products! Having plenty of flaws on my face, I usually get so insecure on how I look without make up. I love trying different lipstick shades, bronzers, blushers, face masks and basically anything that can be used on my face. Do check back for a post on my favourite beauty products and my thoughts after using them ☺
6. Listen to your favourite upbeat song on repeat
DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT(!!!!!!!!!!!) LISTEN TO SAD EMO SONGS ☹ It will only make you feel so much worse about yourself. My top 5 songs that I try so hard to avoid when I’m feeling like shit are Heartbreak Warfare by John Mayer, Fix You by Coldplay, All I Want by Kodaline and Magic by Coldplay. They hit me right in the freaking feels.
Instead, you can listen to songs like Shake it Off by Taylor Swift. Gay af I know but you have to give it a try!!! I have been OBSESSED with the song ever since my friend, Sarah told me to listen to it during the exam period. Take a Walk by Passion Pit, Hurts like Heaven by Coldplay or even Fancy by Iggy Azalea! We all have our own tastes and preferences and these are just songs that I love to listen to whenever I need a lift.
7. Watch your favourite movie/shows
Have a Friends or Modern Family marathon in bed! Or whatever show genre that’s your cup of tea be it thrill or horror or sitcoms. Take the day off for you to take a breather, spend it with no one but your favourite stuffed toy, fast food delivery and your favourite show in bed. You can even read a book just to escape momentarily and be amazed by the new adventure you will be experiencing in your own world just by reading a book.
8. Surround yourself with people who you can be totally comfortable with
You are allowed to cut off toxic people you meet along the way. You have the power to choose your own friends and to make your own decisions. If your “friend” constantly puts you down, cut him/her off. Friends are supposed to make you feel better about yourself, whether or not they are joking. You are not obligated to be friends with a certain someone and they can choose whether or not they want to be a part of your life.
Remember, you're only human. Pain is only temporary and whatever it is that you're going through be it stress, expectations, relationship problems or even exams, it will all be over soon. Problems you face will only shape you into the person you will be in the future. You will come out stronger.
