Sending my children to college

Ups and downs of being a single mom in Silicon Valley

I started a business this year in retirement planning while working in the corporate world. I was able to buy another car so that my son can have a car. My son, Dominic, is now 20 yrs old and had been working as computer technician for the last two years while attending De Anza College. He said “Mom, I know it is hard to be a working student because you also did it during your time but we cannot afford for me to be a full time student right now. So, it is ok, I want to help you.”. Dominic was born at home with midwives attending in San Jose California and so is his sister Esther. Esther has won more than 4 art contests in the bay area and is now 18 yrs of age. She refuses that I should be spending money for her ,like buying new clothes as she sees me struggling in the past. She loves thrift stores and wanted to be a teacher someday because she saw me teaching and she loves teaching violin to young ones. In the bay area, you have to be creative and finding ways to earn a living. So that when I started my blog, www.clubalthea.com , few years ago I know that I wanted to make a mark in writing about health and now about finance too.

This year I have helped doctors and health care pros, carehome owners and caregivers to save towards their lifetime tax-free retirement with long term care insurance. I always ask people to refer me to those who wanted to build their own business with a team so that I can train them and together we can live in the bay area comfortably. So far, I have my blog to spread the word and keep on sharing the benefit of saving for retirement and taking care of our health. Happy Summer! Spread your wings, enjoy each moment. Email me at motherhealth@gmail.com to exchange views on health and finance.
Sincerely, Connie Dello Buono
