Those Entry-Level Startup Jobs? They’re Now Mostly Dead Ends in the Boondocks

I find it a little insane that most people expect to go from entry level customer support to becoming a product manager in 1–2 years. Besides the math itself not working out (there is probably a 1:25 ratio) I’m not sure what qualifications most people who are working customer support have. Majoring in poly-sci or English does not mean you know how to design and build effective products given the constraints of a current technology.
