Day 7, delayed with no service

Rest day. We stayed at the hostel to rest up after a good first week. Ate a lot of food, learned a bunch about the Appalachian Trail. Interacted with some interesting hikers. They are hard to describe. One way to put it simply it is that they just don’t live in the world we and most likely, you, the reader, live in. They just hike and roam. I’m generalizing of course, but many don’t have an interest in education, a potential career, or even a roof. They just hike, and spending a day with them really opened up a new lens on the way some people approach the world. I ended the day with a game of corn hole and went to bed.
