Sort of funny. Until I thought about all of my past CEO’s and realized it wasn’t very funny at all. Sure, television and movies create a stereotype of CEO’s, but my experience is that type person doesn’t really do well and doesn’t last. The reality is that it is lonely at the top and the responsibility carried can be crushing. The only thing worse is actually owning the business. It’s much easier to have a guaranteed pay check, show up for work on time, do what you’re told, and go home on time. And then make fun of what you don’t really understand.
