Coincidentally I ran into this issue (and others) today: https://github.com/hashicorp/terraform/issues/4084 and your post has given me hope/inspiration/ideas/workarounds, etc. The transition to infrastructure orchestration with Terraform hasn’t been as easy as I would have expected (after previously creating code/tools a few years ago with Ansible (and EC2 module, etc.). Your post here is an Excellent overview with great, real-life examples that I can use now. Thanks for this gem!
