I am not sure that Isabelle Allende has ever been overlooked.

Anyway this is a really fantastic list — I am a literary translator from Spanish myself, and am always keen to find out about writers I haven’t heard of. One thing I would ask is that you name the translator when writing about Spanish language books (where you cite the English translation). These books don’t magically appear in English. A lot of the books you mention have been discovered, loved and championed (by persuading a a publisher to do the book) and then painstakingly worked into English by a devoted translator — when we translate great women writers and bring them to the English-speaking world, we play a huge part in changing the male biais in international literature — and to then not get mentioned is kind of ironic.

Please take a minute to add mentions of the translators where necessary! Thanks!
