Write That Down — Write That Down
All throughout our day, quick thought memos go through our brain telling us “that’s a good idea and I need to remember that” or “that is a good thought I need to apply that to my life and it will better my future self”. For the average human (including myself), we never actually write those little conscious thought impulses down. For example, here is a list of thought impulses that cognitively went through my conscious mind yesterday:
[1] “Sincere eye contact when communicating with another person is so important in advancing social connectivity in relationships”
[2] “You can do literally anything you want in life if you want to bad enough”
[3] “Honesty is not the best policy, it should be the only policy”
[4] “If you truly don’t like who you are as a person and genuinely want to change for a better way, you will have enough integrity for yourself to write down every single thing you do during your day and how many minutes you do them. The next day, go back and analyze that personal data collected and honestly ask yourself one by one if that action was in fact progressive for yourself in your life”
You will be very surprised to see how much time you waste during your day. As you pick up these daily lackadaisical actions, ask yourself exactly why you do these things?
[5] “If you naturally want to do more of something in your life, you will find time to do it without trying”
[6] “Always do things for a productive reason but never analyze these reasons in depth”
[7] “For the most part, you do about 75% of what your friend group does about 95% of the time”
These seven thoughts come from one single day in my life and correct me if I am wrong — they all make decently logical sense. Does this make sense? What kind of positive recommended memo impulses go through your head in just a single day? Write That Down and you tell me.
