The Sustainability of Joy.

Three YouTube videos through time show it all:

The one of that laughing baby (2006), Those people dancing at Sasquatch Music Festival (2009) and Chewbacca Mom (2016).

They show the power of Joy. It’s sustainability. Nothing spent, only gained. We want to be a part of it, we want it in our life. We don’t hold onto it for ourselves, instead we share it as much as possible. We somehow feel as if negative things have fallen off our shoulders and positive things have filled our hearts and bellies. We want more of it in the world. It is authentic; the reality and story match up. It has meaning. Imagine if creating Joy in the world was treated like creating “shareholder value.” I can imagine that.

I hope there are thousands of high school students right now who when asked, “What do you want to major in when you go to college?” They answer, “I want to study Joy.”
